you realize i live in Illinois right? pot holes are a year round thing here, it is no longer seasonal. It would have to be a good 6"+ deep pot hole that you would have to rambo the car into the hole to bottom out. And at that point you have more to worry about than a scrapped up bumper bottom.

you do realize i quoted WhiteGXP313 who lives the city over from me when i said that.......

...In any case around here we have some holes I would worry about, I mean I've had to resurface two wheels because of them since I've owned the car. A lowered car in our area is not the greatest idea if its your daily driver. But to each his own.

that was kinda my point behind my comment. the hole you would have to drive into to even touch the bottom of the bumper would ruin a rim and possibly the A-Arm or spindle before ripping the bumper off. you have much more to worry worry about hurting before a bumper is ripped off. hell the oil pan, engine cradle, and trans pan all sit lower than the front bumper does.

i havent scraped yet, but the car really isnt that low where i am gonna worry about it. the 20" arent the deciding factor, its the tire. you can have a 20" rim and tire combo that is equal or greater in height then a stock 18" wheel and tire combo. you need to measure how tall your tire is as well as how far the wheel well is from the ground. that will give you and idea of where you would be in comparison to my and davids cars with the different spring combos since we run the same size tire.
