i dont consider my GXP a muscle car, and didnt consider my GTP a muscle car even though it was faster than my GXP currently is. its just a new form of modern performance vehicles.
id say FWD is about as muscle as an under powered RWD cars (like an g-body monte carlo). i think the words muscle car define an era more than the car body/engine type. there are many cars that werent very fast or werent 2 doors that many consider muscle cars. But they have not been produced since the early 70's though. everything else is just a performance coupe or sedan.
