Actually Australians are crazy about fast cars more than we are. Just look at all the fast cars in the Mad Max movies.

We were supposed to get the Maloo but they canceled them. Maybe they'll change their mind when they bring back the Commodore as a Chevy. This might be the next Impala:

There was something on Jalopnik about getting 100k people to say they wanted the El Camino back, and they would.

And that mock up looks horrible... The Lumina looks a lot better.

EDIT: Too much forced Camaro there.

I like the lower bumper on it a lot better than mine. I like my hood a lot better though, the dual scoops give it that muscle car look.

Default New Member Saying Hello

Hi! I am a new member and own a pewter 2001 Camaro SS with SLP center exhaust. The engine is the LS1 Corvette engine. I have only driven it in fair weather and garaged it off season. It only has 18,000 some miles. Some of the options are the leather seating Monsoon sound system, T- tops. I haveoved driving it. Hope to meet other people here who love fast cars. Best thing is it looks sweet but not overly sued up and few people expect a woman in her 50's to leave them in the dust... lol! Irishwabbit

I love that Impala. Is it just me, or does it sound like something that eats small children?

i dont think the ls4 cars are muscle cars. the big block first and second gen rwd cars werent considered muscle cars, so im going to say the fwd small block car isnt. i always thought they were luxury sport coupes. then again i dont think that a 4 door charger, magnum, or g8 is either. i think it would take a different kind of person to consider a 4 door 70s nova/chevelle, vista cruiser, or any of the other 4 door, rwd intermediates with a big blocks in them a muscle car. i dont think you can base what a muscle car is purely on a drivetrain layout, and,hp figure. its more than that. sure its about hp, and, rear wheel drive, but a muscle car was more than that. it was a style an attitude that was uncompromising, and unforgiving. when i think of a muscle car i think of a mid sized, rwd, v8, coupe, that said **** you im faster whether it was parked at the curb or stalling up at a street light. it didnt give a **** about mileage, engine noise, or seating. it was built to beat someone, and thats it. times are different now. there are bad *** cars out now whether theyre fwd, 4 door, 4 cyl turbod, but the muscle car is no more.
