Default weird things that are tied together in our cars.

I know there are a few, only one I remember off hand is cruise control and the third brake light, if it goes out, so does cruise control.

Anybody know anymore.

And is the calendar on the DIC tied into the radio?

ya the radio and the DIC are connected through a data connection. For example, If you were to swap out the stock radio for an aftermarket, you must relocate the stock radio to the trunk to retain the data transfer. Otherwise there is a module you can buy to do it.

Loose your brake position sensor and you loose ABS, Trac Control, Stabili Track, Brake light, your DIC tells you to service brake apply sensor And last but not least you loose Cruise Control.

not sure why, but it you unplug your MAF sensor you lose trac control and the transmission shifts HARD in tap-shift mode

When the ECU detects a MAF fail, it forces max transmission line pressure - Tough on our glass transmissions, but designed to make you take the vehicle in to GM because you can't stand the hard downshifts. This "feature" can be disabled with a tune. Shifts hard when not in tap shift mode too.

hmmm, if unpluggin the maf didnt make the motor run like crap and the transmissions were a bit tougher than they are..... that could be desirable to us that cant afford a tune/ shift kit.

This is a true statement.

I recently upgraded to the 2011 Corvette NAV and my date is gone.

I only used the Tech 2 to unlock it and not set it up (if it's possible).
