Stock LS4's dyno 235-255ish on a dynojet. Mustang dyno's read lower.
Headers will not gain us 15hp without supporting mods. We need to install a intake manifold and rockers before rewarding results can be obtained.
When dynoing, power is messured at wide open throttle, so it does't give us the cruising around town feel for power. Headers make part throttle response and cruising worse without a cam. (loss of low RPM back pressure) Intake manifolds do the opposite. Power at part throttle is very noticable.
Rockers add more lift at the valve. Stock 234's preak out at around 250-255cfm at .550 lift. With the stock cam and rockers we are lucky to see 240cfm on the intake side.

A gain is a gain, so I'm glade there was some more power to be found!

You would be correct sir, Speed WAS mainly an import shop. I see high-end cars in there all the time, it's pretty cool. However, they are under new ownership and are expanding into the domestic market, which is why they brought me in as their GM/ Ford tuner. For me it's a hobby that I get paid to do, what more could a guy ask for?

What kind of gains can be expected with a ls1 intake I pulled 250/277 at the wheels with my fwi and a tune I was very impressed with my torque numbers now I just need to get it done faster, so I'm looking to bump up my Hp numbers

Hmm thats interesting, its about time someone else jumped in, the domestic market has been OWNED by Liverious Motor Sport and Vector for the better part of the last 5 years. SO much so that their prices are virtually identical. Some more legit comp. will do wonders for the performance market in this area

May have to swing over there soon and see if you guys can squeeze out some more horses that vector missed

I agree, Livernois has dominated for sure. They have a talented staff with great capability. However, they do demand a pretty penny for their services....

Also, Stenod has closed their doors so it's a great opportunity for Speed to expand their business. I'm just fortunate enough to be a part of it.

You can stop by any time and check em out. Although, I'm only there for dyno tuning so I most likely won't be there if you do.
