Yes. They should be able to. Call a dealer and see if they can. I'm sure it all varies But with the countless threads about this subject the one thing that is constant is disabling it will solve the problem

Where are you located? Check the sonsor list to see if maybe a tuner is near you. I think the diablo tuner can disable it. But I'm not sure

This sure seems like excessive crank case pressure is the cause when in DoD mode. If simply turning DoD off fixes the problem
for the majority so all 8 cylinders are seeing positive pressure in the 4cycl process then it really seems like the crank case
needs to have a low dynamic pressure so oil is not being pushed by the "slack" rings on the deactivated cylinders.
So far my car is not consuming any oil between changes and I hope it stays that way but I am keeping a close eye on levels.
Looking around on the net I see on a corvette forum guys with Ls1, Ls2 and Ls6 engines have seem large oil consumption issues as
well, to the point a couple of after market companies are selling products to deal with the issue and it is all a venting issue on their end.
Its definitely something that needs to be dealt with, because oil in the cylinders can for sure cause a list of problems.
Has anybody made any efforts to inspect all their venting valves?? just curious.
