I'm gonna have to go ahead and sort of...disagree with you on this one. I ran my dad's 06 at the track, only mod it had was the SLP Loudmouth cat back (which doesn't really gain anything), otherwise bone stock and on the factory original (horrible) tires. Car had about 26k miles on it at the time, ran EASY 13.30's@106 with a truly terrible 2.3 60ft times (thank you wheelhop). With nothing more than traction, that's an easy high 12sec car. Think about it, if all these LS4's can run mid 13's at around or just less than 100mph, 106 is good for 12's, period. I won't disagree that a STOCK LS1 Goat can be taken out by a bolt-on LS4, but you just can't mess with the LS2's man.

Don't know if you need to be a member there or not, but here is to the disbelief..
Don't know if they have a dedicated thread, but a quick search turned up this one. Some cars have been in the 12s and so e run as slow as 13.9. Like I said it's in the driving with this cars.

here is my friends car. 13.03 @109 on nuts, 12.2 @ 121 with a 100 dry shot. A little weight out and mufflers in a otherwise stock 04 M6 GTO. Car went 1.8-1.9 60' on street tires.

I'd rather have my GXP! I don't have enough money to start all over again on a another car.
Mod for Mod GTO hands down..

There's a HUGE difference between an 04 and an 05-06. Like I said, the 06 went 12.50s with full exhaust/tune/CAI, he also went 13.10's with weld in mufflers...I'll stand by the fact that a stock 04 would turn better times. On the street, I'm not afraid of any bolt-on 04s, and the LS2 cars with bolt-ons make for a good race.
