TBSS vs GXP What is faster stock?

C'mon on now, I think the TBSS's are neat looking. And besides, unlike Grand Prix's, my TBSS is the only Trailblazer in the whole trailerpark.
As far as a drivers race, like I said the TBSS will win more races, esp on the street.

If you raced a turbo's TBSS and all it ran was a 12.80ish, there was something wrong with the TBSS. Maybe working out a bug or something.

I've gotten a 13.8 @ 100 out of my car (stock) so I'm guessing it would be a drivers race. Although I wouldn't want to race one from a dig, roll would be much more interesting.

Hooking is the key, and all it takes is spring blockers. This is a STOCK vs. STOCK thread so I'm not going to say much more then drivers race. The 4spd auto in our LS4 W body is only good for 1st gear and then it's stay in 2nd all day long. If one is to spin thru first, then the race is over for the LS4.
Nothing against the TBSS. I just think they are gross looking and eat gas. I can't stand anything SS anymore from Chevy. They killed that badge a long time ago starting with the 454 SS gutless early 90's Silverado. Im fond of Pontiac and Corvette. Thats about it from GM. I don't care to much for FWD, it's just all I got, and I want it fast. It's fun to blow away RWD punks and if I get beat? Who cares... I'm a FWD 4 door sedan!

I used to have a 06 awd tbss. Bone stock heat soaked best was 14.3x and cool night 14.1x rwd capable of very high 13's. Full exhaust, cai, vector tune(never again!!!) best run of 13.49 at 102 mph First gear is rediculous in that thing but once it hits second it dies quickly and 3rd its done. Stock for stock even with a rwd it should be even IF you can hook up.
Last edited by TISmyBOOMSTICK; 08-04-2011 at 04:20 PM. Reason: Even after bolt ons the tbss would only run about 13.9 13.8's 13.49 was on a a cold night maybe mid to low 50's

Stock vs stock very close ls4 needs a perfect launch . Tbss is very easy to launch even rwd. Modded the tbss. The stock tune on it is so docile they left a lot of room in the tunning. I think its fun running 13s with 5000 brick. Lots of surprised looks

My dad just bought a 2007 TBSS 2wd 1SS model and he has been talking crap........... It may take me a while to get him to run em, but I will let ya know what happens......... I drove his TBSS and I wasn't really impressed, it didn't come alive until over 3000 RPM.. then it still wasn't THAT hot

Stock for Stock it's a drivers race with a perfect launch for the LS4's. When I still had my GXP. The TBSS would beat it bone stock by increasing the Transmission line PSI while the GXP was tuned. So a good tuned TBSS would be a bolt-on LS4 IMO since I've had both.(Still have the TBSS)
