Default TBSS vs GXP What is faster stock?

Just wondering I know at least one of you all traded this direction. My cousin just bought one and I am sure a video will be up sometime soon just haven't had time yet.

TBSS. AWD can run around 13.8, 2WD can run faster. And mod for mod they will smoke any ls4 car.

Rolling, GXP. Dig, TBSS, the ability to hook usually always trumps us.

Even rolling, depending on speed, I think the TBSS would win. The charge from 40 on isn't very strong (in my car at least). From 20 up it would be pretty even but could see it topping the car to 100,

ive run an awd from a roll, and beat it. its very close though. with that said the rwd should beat an ls4 car pretty convincingly.

The first and only time I ran my car at the track, was making several passes with an AWD TBSS. I was completely stock, and I think his was too. He got me out of the hole the first two times due to literally ZERO traction on my part through the top of 1st gear. The last time we ran together, I don't know how, but I was able to get mine to hook very well, and I got him out of the hole and to the end of the 1/8th by about 1.5 lengths.

That run turned out to be my best run of the night. Here's my times for it:

R/T: .217
60': 2.091
1/8: 9.111
MPH: 75.80

I hear ya, Bro!! Still mulling it over.

From what I've read, Typhoons were all over the board...13.8-14.5 were pretty common, so it's probably safe to say the average LS4 could probably take one down. Of course, in a short race, the Ty would have a serious advantage!

I'll vote LS4. Gotta cut a 2.0 60ft though.

Stock for stock, the TBSS would win more often. LS4 cars can't launch with a TBSS, even a rear driver. If you decide to go with a tune, a tuned TBSS will eat a tuned LS4 up, dig, roll or what ever.

I just can't stand the looks of the TBSS. Fugly IMO. I raced a turbo TBSS and beat him by a 10th of a second. He was RWD and other then turbo all stock. His MPH was 114 to my 110. Not a stock for stock race.
My best time all stock was 13.98@98ish with a 2.0 60ft IDK what the TBSS run. I know they are heavy. MOD for mod TBSS hands down. Again ugly!
The SRT8 SUV (Idk the name) is way better.

Practice.. Practice...Practice... You can do it! Best time on street tires (all stock) was a 1.9 IIRC

Don't you guy's remember TonyGXP from 2005? He was the first to crack mid 13's all stock with just the headlight removed. He traded the car in for a TBSS. https://ls1tech.com/forums/ls4-perfo...-102-37-a.html

And TonyGXP settling the argument. He say's the GXP traps higher and it's a drivers race. The TBSS stock ran 13.5's

I'm always referencing that amazing time.

EDIT: Just noticed he was car 102 and was trapping 102.
