Like I said before I am a nooooooooooob! How much hp do they have and how fast are they in the quarter? What is the last year for them? Before I bought my Imp, I thought about buying one off a buddy of mine. I might be glad that I didn't huh?

Faster than a Comp G GTP, but slower than a GXP

the northstar is hooked up to a 4t80

Just hope you don't need a head gasket...lol j/k if you treat them right they are better than a ford 4.6 that's for sure!

We've owned a couple 3800 Bonnevilles and really liked them. Thought about the cool looking V8 version until I too found out it was a Northstar. not a big fan.

I really thought about a bonneville gxp before I bought my grand prix, decided I would rather deal with the transmission problems than a northstar.

00-03s had the problem with headgaskets , 04 they fixed the issue , i wish i knew that before i bought a 00 deville , as it cost 3500 for the head gaskets to be done on that car. Just change the coolant every two years to be safe

i had an 05 bonneville gxp with 28,000 miles on it, i traded it for my 06 monte ss with 62000 miles only becaues i wanted a lower car payment , i would take the bonneville over my monte anyday, better brakes beter balance of ride and handling and a alot nicer interior with leather and suede seats and carbon fiber interior trim pieces aluminum gas and brake peddles hud better sounding stereo air compressure in the trunk. but window syticker was 7000 higher then montewhen both were new cars.

Bonneville is the nicest car of the bunch IMO except for the northstar. Now a Bonneville with an LS4 would be my pick hands down.

The interior is dated... Very similar to the 2nd gen w-body Grand Prixs.

Later Northstars benefited from substantial improvements, so the Bonne GXPs didn't have all of the problems of the earlier ones.
