1. The intake from our motor is actually backwards compared to other LS engines, with the accessory drive and throttle body on opposite ends of the motor. We would need a system designed with this difference in mind.

2. Space and complexity. A centrifugal blower won't fit in the space given, and even if it did, our funky accessory drive makes matters worse and would most likely need to be re-engineered. A roots-style blower may be a slightly easier fit, but you'd still have drive belt issues, and you modifying the hood may also be necessary.

Of course, you can solve any problem with enough $$, but it becomes a question of whether $10,000+ for 150 RWHP is really worth it!

even the turbo kits are a waste of money imo spend 6g on a kit and make only 500hp. If you really want to mod find a better car to mod.

Just spray the ***** off of it (just dont tell your tranny lol). The LS4 is just a poor platform to start with to make big power, it can be done but you better have deep pockets.

Thats 500 to the ground, I think doubling the stock horsepower to the ground is worth 6k

Throw 6grand to a ls1 car or even a.ls2 and you would walk away from any turbo gxp mustang cobras etc. But with the t56 transmission you don't have to worry about blowing them up like the 4t65e hd which is another 3grand on top of 6grand for the turbo. 9grand for a somewhat dependable 500hp car is just a waste of money.

Yep, you could. But it's nice to have something a little different that can walk a lot of cars out there!

couldn't have put it better myself! what's the fun in having the same car everyone else hot rods? everytime I run into another car guy I get the same reaction..."woah thats the coolest damn Impala I've ever seen, no one does these like this" and I like that. It tells me i'm nuts for dumping cash into it, but i still like it.

like today, i raced an LS2 GTO on the highway and lost, but not badly, i held my own. dude pulled up next to me after we both got off and was like surprised which I liked too

and while I'm not spending $5500 on the turbo in this lifetime for a FWD car, i think that the kit is a decent value, it includes the water/meth kit, an electric cutout, a quality turbonetics T66, and so on...slap some forged pistons, beefy head gaskets, head studs, and all arp hardware, and crank that turbo up for another 100+ HP for about $1000 if you can DIY, add a cam and DOD delete and your really in business

I do want to see an LS4 that can run LS9 heads with the LS9 2.3L blower...that would be the coolest FWD engine ever, and would for sure be in at least 1 magazine somone step up!

i have a stock bottom end 4.8 in my truck hitting 10.9@132mph stock heads, stock intake ,just 75mm turbo, cam , stall, 4l80 stock tranny so i dont see why an ls4 with a built tranny and a 75mm wouldn't be a beast , i new if i had my setup in a camaro it would be like a second faster but thats not the point its to have fun in what u enjoy is the point

The difference is that whole FWD to RWD thing. It's ALOT easier to put that power to the ground in a RWD.

Whipple makes a supercharger for the ls4. About the same price as a turbo kit if I remember right.

On whipple products it says ls4 but it is a miss print because it has the same part number as the ls1 and ls6 which they both have different drive acc than the ls4
