Cool Just Another Kill Story

Sorry to bore you guys but this thread is a must!!! So I've always wondered how a gtp would do against a gxp.. and well today I found out.. about 10 minutes ago lol..


I'm driving home from work and there's construction ahead.. left lane ends and a 07 gtp is trying to pass.. do I let him? Hellllll no!!!.. haha so anyways after the lane opens back up do I let him pass me ??? Lol Hellllll no.. so at the light ahead the car next to me turns and he gets over.. pissed as hell probably.. he does the typical engine rev.. light turns green.. bammm pedal to the floor.. where did he go?? Lol I swear out of the few cars ive raced I thought he would hang with me.. absolutely NOT.. it was so bad that after I slowed down I tried again to see if he would go.. nothing.. I roll my window down and give him the old finger fowards.. nothing.. wouldn't even look at me.. haha

Probably embarrassed out of his mind, he turns off..

He must've thought his racing stripes added a hundred horse power or something the way he was trying to pass me lmao..

But yes anyways DOES ANYONE KNOW NUMBERS ON A STOCK GTP??? 0-60 AND 1/4MILE???
my gxp seriously ate him alive!!! I'm guessing his was a POS.. cause I know those are almost as fast as a gxp so I'm surprised I pulled on him the way I did..

i thought they ran high 14s bone stock. the 07 should have the better blower on it. 260hp.

yeah the 04+ have the GenV blower....having drove both the GXP and my Comp G that i have now i can tell you the GXP pulls a lot harder outside of 40...from a dig it is close (unless the driver mashed it and let FWD own him) as far as power but the GXP still has it beat obviously....i really want mine back lol

i raced my buddys brother gtp with most of the bolt ons.. From a dig id own him get about a full car length on him.. then he would catch me and pass me after i shifted into second.. Part of the reason is alltitude.5000 feet hurts the N/a motor alot more that the F/I motor

True. They dropped the GTP name to just GT. You could still get the 260HP supercharged 3.8 though.

The night I brought home my Monte, I raced my wife in her 04 Gtp comp g (my current daily driver now). It wasn't even close. The ls4 is just a different league than a stock supercharged 3800.

DP, since you are driving the same car as I am now, how does the mpg compare between the gtp and gxp? I actually think I may have gotten slightly better mileage with the V8 on my normal weekly route.

during the winter i was got around 21 in the comp g and i think the gxp was 20ish...really depended on how i was driving with both...with the warmer weather now i am getting 24 pretty consistant but i do 80% highway driving...the gxp in the summer was 22-23ish if i remember correctly....when i was really trying to get good gas mileage in the gxp i could get better mpg wise versus the comp g now

my 98 gtp i was seeing 17-18 keeping my foot out of it, but with my 06 impala ss I see 21-22 on the same drive. actoully giving it a bit more when i take off too. I couldnt believe the power difference when I first got it. cant believe it took me so long to go back to v8

Sorry Jr. It was a gt.. I don't know why I put gtp.. Lol prolly because I heard the sc.. Forgot the gt in 07 still had it
