I plan on doing the intake swap this summer. Figured I would share the find.

 

it does not include Orings. and the Orings are like 5 to 9 bucks a pop with 8 required.

doing the math now it doesn't seem like such a good deal when you can get a brand new right from GM cover with all orings/seals for about 100...

 

Is there some kind of benefit to using that over the one on the LS4?

 

Just call SLP direct and order it without eBay fees on their end, I bet they'd knock another $5 off...this is still cheaper than one from GM with outings included

 

With the LSx manifold swap for the LS4's, I believe the stock LS4 valley cover is not compatible.

 

Tray can only be used with non dod lifters and can not be used without a opsu adapter

 

So these don't have to be cut and rewelded at an angle?

 

Yes they do. This is used if you eliminate the DoD with new lifters while its apart.

Non DoD lifters need a non DoD cover such as this. The stock ls4 cover is compatible if you wish to keep DoD but you will need to mod the DoD solenoid connector.

 

wat modification can be done to the ls4 valley tray tom use it? or wat one can be bought to just put in
