Add my 2006 Impala SS to the list.
Engine was screeching when started during very cold (<10 degrees in AZ) - so opened the hood to see what was up - and although not the cause - saw that the balancer was wobbling.
Replaced today by local Chevy dealer - $186 for balancer, $28 for seal and $616 for labor. Took a day to get the balancer from CA.
