Low oil Add oil light

Low oil Add oil light What's up everyone, kinda new to all this just got my 07 impala ss in January and I couldn't be happier with it. But 1 thing that has happened since I've had it, is a few weeks back I filled my tank and right as I turned the car over it tells me "low oil, add oil" but my oil level is completely fine. I am about 1k miles away from needing an oil change, do you think that would make a difference?? Any help would be great thanks!!

There is a sensor on the bottom of your Oil Pan, it might of become unplugged, or a open in the wire or the sensor has failed.

that was my first thought is that it was the sensor, couldn't I grab one of those at any parts store(at least I would imagine) and if not does any one know where to get them?

The catalogs must all be incorrect , that part number says it does not fit my vehicle, unless his year is different. I couldn't find anything

It's an 07 LS4 part number, from what im looking it doesnt even show an oil level sensor available for purchase on earlier years.
