Default Low oil Add oil light

What's up everyone, kinda new to all this just got my 07 impala ss in January and I couldn't be happier with it. But 1 thing that has happened since I've had it, is a few weeks back I filled my tank and right as I turned the car over it tells me "low oil, add oil" but my oil level is completely fine. I am about 1k miles away from needing an oil change, do you think that would make a difference?? Any help would be great thanks!!

There is a sensor on the bottom of your Oil Pan, it might of become unplugged, or a open in the wire or the sensor has failed.

My daughters GTP did this. It was the sensor and it wasn't that much but I cant seem to find one listed anywhere for the LS4 so not sure. The time to do it is when replacing your oil.

that was my first thought is that it was the sensor, couldn't I grab one of those at any parts store(at least I would imagine) and if not does any one know where to get them?

The catalogs must all be incorrect , that part number says it does not fit my vehicle, unless his year is different. I couldn't find anything

Says wont fit the GXP. Is that incorrect? I would think they would all be the same.

It's an 07 LS4 part number, from what im looking it doesnt even show an oil level sensor available for purchase on earlier years.
