Problem with cylinder 1 spark plug.. keeps going bad! My first problem was a rough idle, got the cylinder 1 misfire code from Autozone, did my research here, and replaced the spark plug. The problem was solved. Then, less than a year later, I had the same problem, and solved it by replacing the plug again! Why does this keep happening? I've asked a few car guys I know, and they had no idea. Does anyone have a suggestion or three? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Edit: Edit: I found a post HERE where they are blaming the oil consumption issue. They say oil in the cylinder is destroying the plug. I've read that GM now has a solution for the oil consumption issue, but how much is the fix? I have no warranty.

Turning off DOD will help cure majority of the oil consumption. And I just did what Brian mentioned to have mine turned off, found someone with HPtuners to turn it off, just have to shell out a little dinero for credits.

Thanks for the help! Thanks everyone for all the help! I just remembered hearing there's a guy at work, who also has a GXP, that tunes it with his laptop. I'm going to track him down and see if he will disable the DoD for me.
