i built those myself using clear tubing and hvac tape to reflect light outwards
i went to the paint store and bought tolulene USE COTTON TOWELS!! no microfiber follow it up with some polishing compound after you rinse the area with some water. then follow up with some wax. I debadged my car and got all the gunk **** off in less than 30min total for the whole job

He was asking about the eyelid paint on the headlights. Any solvent is going to haze up the clear lenses. So they will have to be cleared to stay shiny.

Just refinish them. Get a coarse sanding block. A piece of 1000 grit and a piece of 600 grit. Start with the coarse block and sand til its even. Then wet sand til even with the 600 grit. Keep it wet the whole time. Then wet sand with the 1000 grit until its even. Keep it wet! The idea is your working from coarse to fine. Then get it completely drie. It will look awful and barely see through. Then apply a clear coat. Roughly 3 to 4 coats and it will look awesome.

What Jesus not 600 on headlights ever....1000grit then 2000 wet followed by a any kind of automotive clear coat 2000 wet sand clear coat again then hit it with some polishing compound and wax. That's how I did my tails and they still shine like with no imperfections.
First thing is first though try the tolulene on a little rag see if it comes off better.
