Valve Covers

Valve Covers
Okay. I've searched the forum for quite a while and haven't been able to come up with anything.
Recently, I've noticed both of my valve covers are leaking from the bottom of the cover and from the center bolts. I'm in the market to buy new valve covers and don't want to get too fancy. Will valve covers from any 99+ ls engine work? From what I read, the pre 99 year models have the bolts on the outside instead of center. The only thing I'm worried about is finding a cover that will hold the coil packs without having to do modifications.

I was told there was a strong potential for the valve covers to have warped. That's the only reason I was looking at replacing the valve covers instead of just the gaskets.

I'm replacing my valve cover gaskets now (and spark plugs since they will never be more accessible).
There is no way the valve covers could warp under normal driving conditions. They are cast aluminum.
Just get Felpro gaskets and grommets for about $25. They fit perfectly...

This particular set has the grommets separate. The part numbers are correct and the total is the same as I spent at Advance Auto...The valve covers are easy to remove. Just unplug the coil harness and individual coils, then remove coils from bracket, then bracket from valve cover, then valve cover from engine...You need 8mm & 10mm sockets, 1/4" drive.
I cleaned mine up with Simple Green and a Scotch Brite pad...
