E85 conversion.
E85 conversion. Been running E85 for a while now, stock injectors and pump still. I do have 50lb/flex fuel injectors to reinstall but i wanted to see how far the stock system can go. im pulling almost 80%injector duty cycle @65-70% Throttle. However keep in mind This works for me right now on a stock system for the following reasons. its winter blend E70 and im at 4800ft altitude so, i wouldnt need as much fuel as most of you would at or around sea elevation.
The car has zero starting issues and my exhaust tips look like i just installed them. Im curious to see how my cylinder heads look as far as gunk builldup goes. really love how the car performs. No super tuning is required just change stoich value in the tune to 10.68-10.70 for winter blend 9.68 for regular E85 summer blends.
However i know eventually i want to get a reliable setup in which ill be ordering the AEM E85 fuel pump http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/271325357919?lpid=82
I also scored injectors for cheap off a 6.0 flex fuel truck but you can get what you like. I would go for 42/lb hr injecotrs off a z06 or something like that.

Oh yea.you need to wire in a flex fuel sensor and it needs to be inserted in the pcm connector. With hp tuners you can enable the flex fuel function and drop in the tables from a flex fuel vehicle in. Since I live around e85 stations I have no intention of ever going back to gas and if I did all I need to to do is re flash my gas tune back.

Once the SBC/F23 Fiero swap is out of my garage, I plan to convert my LS4 to flex fuel capable. It drinks 93 octane, so even if I give up some mpg, I will be saving nearly $1 per gallon vs. 93 octane.
There is only one E85 station in the town where I work, so I need the flex fuel option so I can fill up with gas if E85 isn't available.
My Fiero has about 10.5 gallons of usable fuel capacity, flexibility is fueling is almost a requirement.

The smell of ethanol burning is addicting!
I can run up to 40/60 e85/87 mix during summer without throwing lean code. It gives me around 95 octane and the car loves it.
In the past I used the flex fuel gold converter on my 2002 gtp and it worked with 100% e85 on stock tune.
