Question about ls6 intake swap

Default Question about ls6 intake swap

I am thinking of starting to get parts for this swap. My friend has some #42 lb injectors from his ls6 and the connectors I need to do my swap. He wants to trade me for detailing his TA out for a carshow straight across for it all. My question is will I have any problems with them being #42 rather than the 28ish the stock ls6 ones are? Just require some different tuning?

Alright that is what I thought. I am assuming I won't run the car too much before tuning then since it will probably be running really rich. Getting it to a tuner might be a small issue I may need to figure out.

what do injectors like this usually go for? money wise.

You probably won't be able to get the car to turn over after bumping up to 42lbers until you're tuned. That was the case with my car at least.

alright thanks for the heads up. I would guess that mine will not fire either. Might look into local guys that might be able to give me a base tune to get it fired up then to make sure everything is alright before I take it to get dyno tuned

Where did these injectors come from ? I highly recommend you get the proper data with your injectors if you want the most out of them. Don't have a tuner jus enter some random flow rate vs kpa till it runs smooth

They are coming out of a 02 WS6 with a fresh LS6 crate. They are about a year old. He went procharged so he switched to bigger injectors.

I know we have a sticky on ls2 pin outs for throttle bodies.....What about an ls6 TB? could someone point me in the right direction? I might buy the intake tomorrow and the same guy has a DBW TB off that intake too.

If the injectors were off a stock LS6 there 28.8lb injectors which is the almost identical to the factory ls4. 3800 grand Prix gtp injectors will work and there iirc 36 ish and are the ev1 style

The ls6 tb will work i am proof i have a ls1 witch is identical but u will need a spacer and have to mod the heater lines by cutting the bracket and twisting the vertical instead of horizontal but its not that hard at all heres the thread with the pin out for the ls1/ls6 tb And also a up close pic of my setup
