Default Strut bar brace bracket

Anyone know what the bracket on the right comes off of? Looks factory. Found this pic on the internet with no real information. Thanks

That is the forum I found the pic on . When he says this " Front and rear both. Happened to find a set with the Don Rome brackets." I thought he was talking about the ones on the left? The one on the right looks like its made of steel and raise in the center, looks really like a factory piece off something.

The steel ones were from ZZP, before they started making their own chromoly STB's bolting directly to the strut. DR's were aluminum (front and back), which you can tell apart by the location of the STB holes (front-centered, rear-offset)

Would you recommend the ZZP bar for the rear since it's a one-piece design? I know Don Rome is our only option for the front (because alternator...)

You can go any way you choose for the rear, basing it only on price/looks/etc. since both ways would function fine. With a pair of GM bars from Jegs @ $31 shipped, and DR brackets at $85 shipped, it's not a bad way to get it in one shot... versus getting a single bar from ZZP for $83+shipping.

I've looked at getting the factory 3.4L Impala/Monte front brace from a junkyard, but it's just too ugly with all the bends they came with.

Get the BMR for the rear. They are stout and let you adjust tension. Which is how a true strut tower brace should be

Those fit the GXP? I was going to do that and called them to verify since there is nothing I could imagine that would be diff on the GXP compared to other GP's and they told me it wouldn't work. They couldn't tell me why and I was thinking about doing it anyway, but have been distracted with other things. If you have one installed that would make sense that they were just reading some script and not listening to me.

Yeah they ( BMR ) told me it would not work on the rear of any w body past 2006. But I dont know why the fronts obviously have to have the don rome adaptors.

Looking at the mounting position on this bar it appears to be very similar to ours although I don't have any bars yet so I am really guessing. The wheel base on the Grand Ams is only a few inches shorter than our cars and since this is adjustable I'm thinking this may fit and possibly bolt up. Even it it needs to be modified it could be an option. Any thoughts?

Thanks, I'm looking for other options as well as cheaper alternatives. I know the BMR bar fits as well as Don Romes brackets with the GM bars. Think this would work? Does it appear to you to have the same mounting positions for the rear bolts on the one I posted?
