Decrease in mpg?

Yeah I'm gonna go see him later today and have him review the stuff and email me a copy of it. When I get another job I'm gonna have to invest in a hptune program or something . But yes sir stock o2, everything stock besides res delete w/ diff mufflers and tune.
There is no filter inside the gas tank in the fuel pump assembly, only thing on there is the pickup screen, which id be willing to bet money isnt an issue. Don't go paying to have this guy take your car apart when it could be something silly like the converter being changed back to the right one.

I also asked my tuner for the file and he wasn't quite happy to have to idea of his work being changed or anything so, I dunno. Gonna have to look at it and see if anything is changed.
How could this be an incorrect convertor? Isn't the LS4 flywheel bolt pattern different? How many convertors out there not counting high dollar aftermarket converters would actually fit and be wrong?
Honestly, i cant say, i can only go by what Koren has described. Since he said that the trans shop told him they used a "larger converter", that would be what he is describing, they went from a 245mm converter to the 258mm that is supposed to be on the LS4.
Would a 245mm convertor even bolt up? Aamco uses stock replacement , correct. It makes no sense to me, Nothing but the correct stock convertor should bolt up and work, I would think.
If his flywheel already had the dual bolt pattern, or if they drilled the new pattern into it, yes it would bolt up just fine. Freeing up that much weight using a 245mm converter could easily result in a 3mpg gain on any of our cars, the problem is there isnt enough lockup clutch material in a converter that small to handle the load our engines and weight of the car place on it.

Verdad Gallardo Yes, but drilling to get something to work isn't normal for that type of company. They deal with factory stuff, shouldn't be force fitting anything.. If they did something that stupid they should be choked the **** out.
Have you heard the back story on how I got my car for 1000 bucks? Guy paid 2400 bucks for a new trans and they never even installed it and gave him the car back. lol
It could, hard to interpret from this end what it actually meant, higher stall could also result in less MPG but I wouldnt think it would be that drastic. I would have to know the part # of the torque converter. JTFM I believe is the 1900-2100 stall we are supposed to have, however there are a couple variations that range up to 2800.

Well I called aamaco and the manager was saying that he only calls them in so he wouldn't know exactly which one the put in but they wouldn't have went with anything but a stock replacement due to the policy of them not building racing transmissions. He asked the mechanic and he said they more than likely put in a 245, he said the last code numbers would have been like 00006 or something. He said I should address my tuner and see if it's anything with the tune vs converter if there's no slipping or anything . Now the rebuilder I know added in extra plate support, replaced the clutches etc, dunno if that has anything to do with it. I have a audio recording of saying how he builds them.
