Well, do I think that the 245mm converter has enough lockup clutch material for our cars? YES. But dave from TEP was the one who told me that as well as numerous other sources around the net, and that that was the whole reason behind GM going to a larger 258mm converter in the first place. As far as going with other converters, circle d and FTI have both said they can build a 4t65ehd 258mm converter without an issue for half the price of what dave charges for that precision converter. In fact only reason I havent switched is because I just dont want the hassle of pulling the trans.
As far as the flywheel goes, intense was selling a dual bolt pattern converter for the wbody's for quite a while now. However you are right its as simple as just having it redrilled.

If it involved work like extra drilling, I highly doubt they did that then. The shop was lazy as hell and more than likely once I get my money right, and I start modding more, which I hope you spawn and 91 will continue to be around for, I'll build another trans, hopefully this time I can try and do it through Dave. But I'll def know more info either Monday or Tuesday. I also want to get into tuning....
