Default Fitting SLP PowerFlo on an LS4 GXP

I know the SLP PowerFlo was designed for a 3800 Grand Prix. What does it take to run it on an LS4 Grand Prix? I've seen it run on an MC SS LS4, so I know it can be done.

Any advice is appreciated...I don't wanna spend the money for a Magnaflow and have had good luck with other SLP exhausts...

Some say it is just missing a welded bracket on the passenger side before the wheel,it should fit regardless as others have used it. I always liked the sound of SLP, good quality too.

There is also this that others have used , add your choice of mufflers and tips and build your own.

I have not done either so its just some info, someone should chime in who has done either.

Thanks...my only concern is on LS4 Nation on FB a member has one on his MC SS, and it was a few inches too short...he got extra pipe to add between mufflers and tips.

Just not sure how that translates to a GXP

Hmm, not sure. The add says it fits GP's to 2008. Maybe wait till someone confirms before ordering. Your 97 with 2OTL is gone?

LOL you noticed? Yeah...after 15.5 years of ownership, she's gone When I bought the GXP to replace the V as my DD, 3 toys just didn't make sense anymore. I will never part with my SS, so the Z28 had to go.

I already miss the exhaust...sold the car for $8k cash a week ago. Not bad money for an 83k LT1 t-top car, but it was in the same shape as when it had 40k back in 2001 when I bought it. It was pristine....

Those 97's hold their value, not everyone wants an LS car. 2OTL probably sealed the deal. I had a couple LT1 Formulas, not real fun to work on that motor with the opticrap, but they ran hard! I had a few cars I wish never got away, the GXP wont be in that category. I like it, but to me its just a driver even though its in very nice condition.

The buyer didn't even know what the exhaust was as far as I know. Mine still had the original Opti...was starting to have a very small skip over 5k. My GXP is going to be a runner. I will enjoy it, but I won't keep it. It will be a 25k/yr daily driver for the next 5 years while I pay off the V. After that, if its in good shape due to FL weather, I'll keep running it and buy another toy. If not, it'll get traded for a 392 Charger to DD. I wish GXPs had a nicer interior....but it'll do as a runner. Its getting a new stereo in the coming months. I've put 5k on it in 2 months...this stereo isn't gonna work for me!

Ended up ordering the ZZP DP and LS4 specific catback on the Black Friday special just now...$710 shipped. Can't argue with that...we'll see how it sounds. If it drones a lot, I'll just have to turn up the damn radio...
