Ok ….This is post 6.
Ive been elsewhere in this forum trying to learn about the LS4. I have one. Mistakenly purchased with the intent of putting it into a RWD application 1980 Corvette.
I know all the reasons not to do it.
But I just can’t believe that It can’t be done.
All i need to know here, is what difference ( other than length and flywheel pattern) is an LS4 crank versus a RWD 5.3 crank out of every other GM application on earth.
Can you drop in a regular 5.3 crank, and change out the rear main seal plate, or is there something else that can’t be done?
Guys have been asking this since they first made these engines,…you’d think somebody would’ve came up with an adapter by now.
