Winter Wheels
Winter Wheels Here is what the car looks like in winter trim... Ugly *** 16x6 monte LS wheels with 225 60-16 Blizzaks on all 4 corners. It REALLY looses something w/o the 18's in the looks dept... Drives about the same... had to recalibrate the speedo as it was about 5 off going to a 1.5" shorter tire, no pressure sensors on the rims... so i just deal with pressing the info button everytime i drive to shut off the "service tire monitor system" display.

On my 06 Impala SS, I have black GM steel rims with 9C1 police/taxi center caps that I bought off EBAY. Nokian Hakka 2 studded 215-65-16 on all four corners. Can you say sleeper? I'll try and post some pics....I think it looks pretty cool for the winter months.
lol i got mine from a co work that put the 17" 05' impy SS wheels on his LS.
Got them for $150 and in mint shape. Also scored all 4 blizzaks for 150, 1 season old, virtually new.
Just toss some older grand prix wheels on, as long as they are 16" they clear the brakes.

they won't fit, huge offset difference. gm fucked the gxp world on this aspect of fun.
the only factory wheels i can see fitting are the 03-04 cobra wheels.

Had them cut off yesterday, and put 3" rolled (like the stock Camaro SS ones) on. Like the looks of the factory tips better.

Back to the rims - part of the muscle of these cars is the rims ... take them away and it wimps the cars out!

How's the performance on those 16s? I was considering doing just that...going for the cop black-on-black look...but found an inexpensive set of Pirelli snows in our 18" size so i got those instead.
