It's a LeBra, don't know the quality, I always use Covercraft.

Check with a Ziebart, around here they sell a pre cut kit for 06-07 Imp and Montes. Its the clear plastic stuff, for the hood fender flared area and mirrors.

I've got a LeBra hood protector that i'd sell ya for a couple bucks more than the shipping. I Installed it and it didn't look right with my "eyelids" i installed, so i boxed it up and put it away. I broke the clip that hooks under the rear of the hood, so you'd need to fab up another clip of some sort, but the protector is about 1 week old.

I'm kicking myself, though, as i also have tons of chips in my hood.

Nikon,

Not sure where you live, but you could attempt to locate a shop that installs the 3M invisible shield. If you haven't seen these, it's a custom-cut clear protective barrier that almost eliminates rock chips. Usually you see them on Porsches, Ferraris, Corvettes, etc. I've got this coating on the front end of my Corvette and I have been rock-chip free for over 3 years. I'm going to look into getting one for my Monte soon, as it has already suffered 2 chips over the course of 2 months of ownership! Good luck, let us know what you find (sorry, I haven't had time to devote to looking for myself yet.)

My red isn't so bad, only a few chips.

I had some red colored wax from Turtle Wax that I used to polish my old beat down Beretta Z26 with, would fill the chips with red colored wax as opposed to the normal white, worked great.

I'm actually looking for it for this thing.

This is what I was talking about:

http://www.turtlewax.com/main.taf?p=2,1,4,5

Only red and black today, I have a bottle of blue in my garage for the highest bidder!!! Kidding - it's for my Z's nose, should it ever go out w/o it's bra.

Edit: Amazon has red, blue, black and green

I've got that too, Kaz...i think it's turtlewax...came with the "chipstick" too. It's nice and all, but makes a ****ing mess of your polishing pads & towels (not to mention your headliner should you forget to clean your hand as you're reaching across the roof )

Yeah - I save all of my old t-shirts for polishing the car, and use gloves to keep it from staining my hands.

This is the first link that came up under a Google search for the 3M protective mask - try to find a shop in your area with the expertise to install it. This stuff works wonders.

You could buy it yourself and make an attempt at it...the material isn't that expensive, it's the labor.

Looks like installing window tint, which on MCSS should be a breeze to install:

Like the pics show, just float it on a LOT of soapy water, set it and work from the center out. Need a friend to help.

$400 w/o headlights.

Check out the monster for the front end of the Z28SS:

Cheap fix ... picked up the red wax from Pep Boys yesterday, like $9.

They had black on the shelf.

I just bought this on Ebay. I know it's cheap, but it's worth a shot. Plus, the seller has pretty good feedback.

I just got a new bumper and my hood re-finished (don't ask), so I wanted to do something to prevent any chips. I figured why not. I'll let y'all know how it goes.
