Hey Dave, what's the cost of your high-test out there? do you have 93 octane, or just 91? trying to see if your gas prices are higher or lower than where I am... I pay $3.65 a gallon for Mobil 93 octane...

FWIW, I had sent an email to STP about their octane booster, and asked them how much it raises the octane, since it didn't say on the bottle.. I just got a response from STP - and they say that it raises it 10 points... makes my 93 octane into 94 octane... so, just an fyi I guess... LOL

also, here's a chart I found of the different brands of octance boosters, and how much they raise the octane:

Put about 2 gal of 110 octane cam 2 at $5.40/gal and the rest Sunoco Ultra 94 at
$3.39/gal. Seemed to help, other than the butt dyno, I have no proof though.

yeah, for whatever reason, Sunoco 94 is gone from this state (CT)... we USED to have it, don't know why they did away with it here... now they only have 93....

Must be a state thing. I drove to South Carolina on Memorial day weekend and all most Sunoco's had was 93, and some only had 91. When I first got my car I used shell 93, it was close and on Tuesdays was the same price as midgrade. I moved and it's not really convenient to get to a shell (esp the one that had the sale) but now a Sunoco is just donw the street, so I use that. I try to stick to one brand/type of gas if I can. We'll see, the car may have somewaht of a reg diet of some 110 now.

k, I just called the place by me here in CT that has it... their 100 octane is out of the pump, not a drum (WHEW!!)... it's $7.69 a gallon...

so... for 4 gallons of 100, and 10 gallons of 93, it'll cost me about $66.75.... (ouch, kinda ) and that'll put me at a mixed rate of 95 octane...

$7.69 will be the average price for gas soon, if things continue to climb like they are. Just look at it that way

Up here the cam 2 110 is out of a pump, but...you can not pump it into the car directly, you have to bring a gas can and pump it into that. There is about a 3ft hose and the pumped is baracaded by poles to not let a car get close enough to pump.
