gas milage happiness!!! Looky what I got on the way to Nebraska boys!!!!

2 miles latter it said 26.7, but only for half a mile. this 26.5 was staying pretty steady for about 48 miles.

A trip from north east iowa to sothern ill never going over 72 i got 31.3xxx and that was calsulated with a calc, tripometer, and the gallons put it.
It was all highway though filed up then got on and got off and filled up right away. Man it was a long trip.

Dave, at what speed did this occur? Not to burst your bubble, but anyone going 60-65mph or so should be able to achieve that mpg over a long flat section of road.
Nikon...that seems more like an achievement.
However, Dave, let it be known i've never, ever gotten anywhere near that, so i'm just a bit bitter LOL I think i may have gotten 21-23 on the way to Cleveland for a Yankees game, but i was probably doing 80mph most of the way.

On my 1400 mile round trip on Memorial day weekend, I averaged 24.? Not that great but I had my wife 2 little kids and the car loaded. Stuff on back seat floor, trunk full. Mileage was a little better until I got into the mountians. My avg speed from start to finish was about 72.? mph.

I got pretty good gas mileage 29 Miles per gallon. From TN to IL.
Everything was working great that day.
67-75 miles per hour avg.
06 gxp. 28000 miles
K&N filter.
Amsoil 5w30 synthetic oil.
magnaflow exhaust on the way

I was doing about 65 all the way. the reason I posted is because I have not heard of anyone getting better than 26. I went on another trip this weekend and got 27.2 over 300 miles. I wasn't getting more than 24-25 for the last 4k miles, now that I am over 16k, it's climbing quick, very quick. But when I am at 80mph, wow, 23-24, and thats improved a bit too. It's nice to see others here are getting better milage than me, makes me look forward to those trips.
I have K&N cai and Flowmaster.
