On my 2004 (42,000 miles) I drive in TapShift 90-100% also, made well over 100 1/4 passes and beat it like a dog every day. Now then the only problem I had with my 04 is I blew the input shaft (at the track) during the 1-2 shift and in doing so it decided to run it's way through the TC, so $3,800 later I have a fully built tranny that is "suppost" to be bullet proof. The reason my 04 blew the input shaft is the whole "chirping" 2nd on the shifts at WOT. When your on Drag Radials or Slicks the car doesn't like it. Be careful with the trans pressure maxed and remember it's alot cheaper to replace clutches then it is an input shaft/TC or Tranny case if it goes out that way.

The maxed trans line pressure also brought my trans temps upt to 200 as well and you could hear the pump whine in the trans too when put in gear.
I back the pressure down to just above stock about 10% and use the intense shift kit and the temps went down and the whine went away.
Tap shift isn't any different on the trans as far as limiters go...I've used tap a bit on my 04 no issues and I shift at 6000 rpm (3.8l) vs stock 5350 and (knock on wood) tranny's good after 100+ track passes.
I like my tranny I take it everywhere I go HA! HA! 34k on my 06 GXP drive it like you stole it. Took it to 102mph in 2nd!! on track over revd it ouch!! won't do that again. when you tapshift you must upshift at 95mph for it takes the brain of the car to think to long and by that time it will be to late.....
