Default May have totalled my 06 MCSS...

Long time lurker, first time poster... I didn't think it was that bad, but i guess the suspensions bent, all kinds of mess. Probably the completely wrong place to ask since you guys all still have yours, but I'm not sure what to get now... I've totalled an 04 MCSS and an 06 MCSS in the last few years. Got to keep it interesting... Anyone have any suggestions for something I'd like to drive that isn't a girls car?

Well, you'll get 4 answers from the crew here...another MCSS, an Imp SS, a GXP, and as always, a GTO

Both "accidents" your fault?

Well i blame the first one on the neon who swerved into my lane causing me to slide into the grass where i hit a hydrant, but since technically it was a one car accident and he didn't stop its all my fault.

The second one was completely my fault. I switched lanes and caught the left rear of my car on the front right of a tractor trailer. Just didn't see him coming up when i went to the left lane.

heh check out my car domain link and you will see i've done exactly what you have. I had a 02 monte carlo SS totaled with High sport package and i was T-boned in my new monte carlo a week after i bought it total repair was 36 thousand dollars. Past MSRP they didnt expect it to cost that much but it was to late and they had to finish working on it.

By the way do you have any pics ??

When I wrote off my 2006 Impala SS (Got cut off and nailed a telephone pole dead on) I was pretty dam happy. I leased my vechile at the time I put $5000 down and my car payments were $480 a month. They paid off my lease and mailed me a cheque for $11,260 I was clicking my heels the day I saw that cheque.

Man the MC SS is your bad luck car! Count your blessing that your OK after all of that. Not sure where you live but in my state (New Jersey) you would pay a small fortune to get insured. I suggest a tank with airbags

haha, nice... thanks... I'm in NY state... the funny thing is i drive a ton, just happened to switch lanes bad this time... the first one i was absolutely flying and being reckless, but this one is just dumb and somehow they're going to total it out...

at least i didn't get a ticket so it falls under "no fault", even if i do get moved to a high risk bracket for insurance.

speaking of insurance... it's funny... when I got my Monte SS back in Nov. 2005... the rate/coverage cards must not have been updated yet... cuz on my Reg and on my Ins. Card, it says my Monte SS is a V6.... LOL
