Default hp tuner

Started playing around with my hp tuner today. Still need to get the lc-1 installed though. I'm kinda lost right now and really don't know where to begin or what to do. Any of you that have used hp tuners care to shed some insight with me? Just need to get started in the right direction. Thanks in advance for the help!!

Ok, yeah I'm real new at this. Not sure what to change. I did do a couple of logs today though. Is there anyone that would be able to interpret them for me? Kinda let me know what to change?

You best bet would be to go on the HP tuners fourm and post a topic there. I have heard great things about the guys there and they really try to help you out as much as they can.

I have no clue about what to look for on the scans.

But I have played with the toqrue management in Motor & Tranny and under stand that well (Took out 80% torque management). I also have switched the fan settings to make the car run around 200-208.

I have the torque management on the motor and tranny reduced, thats what the forum techs on HP Tuners suggest.

Is there any difference in performance after this?

Lots of people take off all of the torque management. I read alot on the forums and the senior tuners etc say take off 80%. You definatley fell a big difference in the shifts when you go 1-2 2-3.

do not take all of it out on the 1-2shift. this will produce laggy shifts.

if you want too. you can send me the logs for it, and i can help out a bit on it.

I wouldnt take out 80% of the torque management in shifts, best to leave in at least 50%, better yet, have 66% in still. If you look at your rpm graphs during shifts between the TM/shift settings, you will see slippage after the shift with high levels of TM removal. You may even feel some chatter during the shifts as well. The tranny needs some time to 'grab', blasting it with full power during the shift wont allow it to do that. You will still feel a big improvement in shifts with 66% TM left in still.
