I agree we need some moderation....it's becoming too much like clubgp at times!

Well, I'm glad I'm not being an uptight ***.

Yeah Buff, I know you might not have the time, but I thought you'd be interested at the opportunity to mod at one of the net's biggest Lsx forums. I know I would. And yes, in some of the other forums here, you still see alot of "anything goes" attitude, but it gets squashed quickly, because there's plenty of mods to catch it.

Just a few, 20SS07, LOL.

Kaz, I spend the majority of my workday here and at NAIOA...moderating over there. There's also NewImpala, ClubGP and...nevermind, LS4wbody never really caught on. I do very little work each day, but manage to stay afloat. I'll be taking online classes to get a few more credits for my Police Officer requirements, so i may be spending more of my day doing schoolwork instead of browsing the forums and in place of my real work that i get paid to (not) do.

I've actually gotten a nice tan this summer, and i've lost 35lbs since the beginning of spring...again, per the PD requirements. Thanks for your concern, though You're just slacking!

Oh yeah, and i took about 2.5 weeks off last month for my vacation...so you REALLY need to pick it up!

I agree with you Corny, we need someone to do it. The nominations so far sound good to me. Buff would do a good job, but I understand that he's busy. No matter who it is, I'm sure it'll be a nice change.

My job is IT, so I don't need to baby sit more things during the day. I would vote Nate or NachoSS. And I can tell you guys trust me on this if you want to see one of the worst bashing threads in a car forum check this one out. It started off all fine and dandy then just exploded.

LMAO ...

When I was at corp we always had "the man" watching what we did on the internet. They would send friendly notices if you personal surfing exceded some unknown % of your total internet usage.

I need to go to a tanner to get a tan, since I'm down to around 80 / hrs a week from this summer's 105. Great place to meet the babes (but I only met one in 5 years).

I now don't fall asleep half way through my first beer.

No social life either, just surf the net at 2:00 am ... My DVR on the cable box has been worth the extra $5 / month.

Bravo on pursuing the P/O training, if you haven't picked a side arm yet, I recommend the S&W M&P 40. Nice punch to mag capacity - vs- the 9 mm. Very nice ergo grips, cheap to shoot Rem WB from Walmart.

But hey ... so back to the thread:

I noticed a lot of posting that needs to be cleaned up here...how about we select 2 or 3 mods because there's bound to be a time when there's only 1 mod here, and even though Richie is a awesome guy, he doesn't really step in that much.

So 2 or 3 mods could keep everyone in line and clean up some of the dig-ups, useless posting, and trolls that roll through here.

Bump^.

Maybe we should set-up a new thread with a voting poll based on our nominations here. How would we go about notifying Nine Ball or Brains to get a new mod? I don't even think they would let us elect a new guy without their consideration.

What are the P.O. requirements in NY, are you looking to go local P.D. or to the State?

I work at a local PD in NEPA for the past 13 years. Not too many requirements here, depends on the department.

Good luck in your adventures, I cant wait to retire!! (7 more years to go)

OK guys, from what i can gather at this thread that i have officially derailed with my talk about being an officer, here are the Nominees:

Corny40
06MonteSS
eddiemoney
NachoSS
Scarlett (not quite 300 posts but close)
BADDLS1SS (not here that often anymore...too busy smokin the tires)

Are there any more before we put this to a vote?

Took the test for the Buffalo PD back in April...still haven't heard a word about it, though...as expected, the test & results are stuck in the Court system as all of the "specialty" groups (for a lack of a more PC term) get to complain about how "biased" it may have been

There's no written rule about height & weight, afaik, but i know i have to lose a good amount if i decide to go for the State openings this winter. For the local PD, the physical requirements are something like 30 continuous push ups, 35 situps/min, and a 12min mile & 1/2. I need 32 credit hours to meet the 60 required, and i've just today begun my 17cr for this semester....need all 60 by the time of appointment.
