I think it looks pretty good, but I would have gone with a darker blue, like my car.

Well, I think I am going to order a set from DS. After hearing you guys talk about how it really fixes the handling, its gotta be worth it.

I requested mine in satin black so they'd blend in and look factory. My car is a daily-driver so I don't need any bling.

Yea I didn't realize it was going to be that light. And that was the only blue they had in the engine enamel at the store. Oh well. Maybe I can find a darker blue somewhere that looks a little less greenish haha.

I may be wrong. but I would'nt worry about doing it with engine enamel. I painted my with just cheap flat black paint and they seem to be holding up just fine. But if not thats the good thing about paint we can just sand it down and try again. -steve

Yea. In the end like you said it is only paint. If I decide I wanna go with a different color (or atleast a much darker blue) i can easily sand it down and repaint them.

Think of it as a great "base coat".

Will a Rear Bar off a Grand Prix fit a 06 Impala SS?

UPDATE:

I finally had some time to install the STBs and do the motor mount flip yesterday. Took about 1/2 hour.

Initial impressions: Not as noticable of an improvement on turning as I thought but I did notice that the ride to work this morning seemed a lot quieter. Not as many sqeaks and bumps which is what I would expect from STBs. I think cornering might be better improved with better shocks and a fatter sway bar (which there isn't one available). Maybe I'll try some poly bushings on the front sway bar next.

How did it take for everyone to get their don rome kit? I placed the order last month and I got the brakets in a reasonable amount of time but i'm still waiting for the bars.

Yeah I have. He said they are were shipped. They are comming from Mass like 4 hours from me. I'm alittle confused here... He said because they are large the carrier is taking long......I think I've mailed things out before..... If there is an issue I would like to know what it is.

Yea a different guy modifies the bars I forget where he's from. But I too got mine only maybe a week apart or something after the bar was modified.

Flip is usually really good about getting the bars out quickly, and he usually has them in stock, ready to go. I'm surprised to hear this. Did you request custom paint or anything?

has anyone put these on their GXP yet? just wondering if they helped much considering the suspension is pretty good from the factory? I think for optimum performance im going to lower it, it has seemed to make the biggest difference on my other cars.

Nothing custom... I'm sure I'll get them but I would like to know why they are held up....I am very reasonable.
