hahaha yea. I needed those straps to hold teh damn headlights in so I could get home. And the hood latch was all busted too and even though the hood was wedged down and woudlnt budge I figured it should be still held down. When it happened I stopped and we all got out and my headlights were hangin down by the wires almost touchin the road and my buddy just grabs one of the lights and goes "hmmm, maybe we should put this back." I was pissed but couldn't help but laugh.

The previously had an SS hood repaired with all sorts of jb weld looking compund, cardboard, and glues. The layers of repaired hood seperated around the latch and it had so much filler in it that it beat the roof in AND busted both t-tops in... Luckily I was unhurt and didnt even leave the road.

Yeah, i got lucky. I "upgraded" from a 4-cyl Mercury Topaz. That Tempo had some pep to it.
