bah lol fine horrible pic of the car but only one i have atm with the rims on been busy recovering form my surgery and now sitting in a hospital with my dad as he recovers form his lol lovely family Christmas this year is Once i return home I'll get a better pic of the car for you guys

After the holidays I am getting the finned pan. A friend of mine has it and it keeps the tranny cooler by about 20 degrees. That is on a hot summer day too.

I think they are made out of aluminum. In theory it acts like a computer heat sink. The extra meat on the pan soaks in the heat and keeps it away from the transmission. Plus, this unit has a drain plug for quick fluid changes. I had a tranny cooler on my modded 2001 GT and in the winter if the car wasn't almost fully warmed up the tranny would not shift into 4th gear. That is a very common problem with these tranny's in the colder weather. This is another reason I want the finned pan instead. Hope this helps.

I think they are aluminum (stock pieces) for the GXP's. On my old 2001 GT it wasn't, maybe stainless steel? Not sure... To order the correct ones for our cars, on the drop down we need to order the ones for 98 and newer.

There is more info on the tranny in the Word document attached to the second (?) post in the Sticky about the engine & transmission. It says "cast aluminum":
