What size 20" tires fit on our cars?

Not sure what the GXP's stock size is, but on the impala the closest match is 255/35R20 and requires rolling the rear fenders. Rob_Raymer installed 20s on his lowered GXP (using Eibach GTP kit) and I believe he went with the size I stated. He also needed to roll the fenders, iirc. Do a search for threads that he posted in recently and I'm sure you'll get the info. Browse this page and the previous page for "lowering kit" or eibach-titled threads and he'll be in there.

All ya had to do is ask 
OEM Offset is +52. If you're going with a new set of wheels, it's adviseable to stick around the 35-40 mark. Any more/less they'll stick in/out too much.

Ah, thanks man. 
I like the chrome wheels we get stock on our SS's, but.. They're too bulky, in my opinion. Do you think some +42's would look alright? These are what I'm looking at. Supposedly the stock tires will fit, too. These're 18x7.5's

I'm sure they'll look good, though. I'm thinking I'm gonna go with some polished split-spokes or some black Rebels.

Just an FYI, but I wouldn't get 245/35's or any other tires with a smaller overall diameter than the stock tires. I had 245/35/20s on my car previously and they create WAY too much fenderwell gap. This on a car that already has too much gap is just a bad idea IMO. Lowered it may look ok though. Here some pics of my car with 245/35/20s at stock ride height:

Marcus, I don't think he lowered the car, but others have. Search for "eibach" in the LS4 section and you'll come up with a couple recent threads about them.
And there you are sitting on stock aluminums at the moment
