Default What size 20" tires fit on our cars?

Specifically i'm wondering if a 255-30-20 will fit with stock (Comp G) suspension?

Not sure what the GXP's stock size is, but on the impala the closest match is 255/35R20 and requires rolling the rear fenders. Rob_Raymer installed 20s on his lowered GXP (using Eibach GTP kit) and I believe he went with the size I stated. He also needed to roll the fenders, iirc. Do a search for threads that he posted in recently and I'm sure you'll get the info. Browse this page and the previous page for "lowering kit" or eibach-titled threads and he'll be in there.

I'm still trying to find somewhere to buy wheels that aren't giant and chrome, that look decent. Thing is, I don't know the backspacing on the wheels yet.

All ya had to do is ask OEM Offset is +52. If you're going with a new set of wheels, it's adviseable to stick around the 35-40 mark. Any more/less they'll stick in/out too much.

Ah, thanks man. I like the chrome wheels we get stock on our SS's, but.. They're too bulky, in my opinion. Do you think some +42's would look alright? These are what I'm looking at. Supposedly the stock tires will fit, too. These're 18x7.5's

245/40's r a bit taller(.5") and would fill the fenderwell better if the car isn't lowered...

It's not lowered, but I'm not too worried about the well being filled.

I just dislike giant chrome wheels. Sorry. I'm sure they'll look good, though. I'm thinking I'm gonna go with some polished split-spokes or some black Rebels.

Just an FYI, but I wouldn't get 245/35's or any other tires with a smaller overall diameter than the stock tires. I had 245/35/20s on my car previously and they create WAY too much fenderwell gap. This on a car that already has too much gap is just a bad idea IMO. Lowered it may look ok though. Here some pics of my car with 245/35/20s at stock ride height:

Ya I know. I think I have bought at least 10 sets of aftermarket wheels for the last 5 cars I had including my current cars. Practice makes perfect!

SSWS6 do you have any pics of the car when it is lowered? Or is it even lowered?

Marcus, I don't think he lowered the car, but others have. Search for "eibach" in the LS4 section and you'll come up with a couple recent threads about them.
