will they last 10 years?
I currently own a 2000 Buick Regal LSE, with 153,000 miles on it. It has been pretty dependable so far, but I am thinking it is time for some new wheels. There is no excitement driving it, except for the occasional hard slip shift/bang/service engine light.

I've been eyeballing a 2007 Impala SS. Low mileage, good price. I was just wondering if these cars, especially the engine with the DOD computer control stuff, will hold up as well as the older GM W-body cars. The only things I've had to do to my car besides basic maintenance are the occasional collision repair
and wheel hub bearings recently.I guess I just want to know, if I'm going to shell out the bucks for some new wheels (and cut back on my current standard of living in the process
), do you think they will hold up as well as the old 3800-based models? I'd love to get another 8-10 years out of a GM car. I'd also like some window tint, lowering springs and black/chrome-lip wheels.
I appreciate any advice you have to offer. Thanks.

I average 70 - 100 miles a day in traffic.

I would like to get another 150,000 miles relatively pain-free.

I think I'm gonna go for it.
These cars have the average amount of problems, but a couple of the guys have gotten the exceptions to the rule.
TPMS, EVAC, Remote Start and same ole' steering assy issues for the most part didn't pass validation and got BS'd through earlier models.
They warranty this stuff now to 100K, so like the guys said, you're good till then.

with the Mrs. The Monte Carlo is a much better looking car than the Impala in my personal opinion, but it will have to do.
