Here we go again.
Just had the car in at the dealer on Friday for the ISS.

And now this,
Squeaking/rubing noise coming from front left tire. Took the tire off to have a look. Looks like Inner CV joint is bad. There was grease out of the Ruber some was even on the tranny. I turned it once the squeaking is coming from inbetween the Joint and the tranny. Took the right front wheel off no grease no sound.

Other issue might be nothing but...
Does anyone else have a whining noise coming from the alternator? With the hood down you can not hear it, With the hood up it is not too loud but enough to notice. I feel like it has been there since I put the K&N in there, but I am kinda pissed now so I might be hearing things LOL.


I'll be going back to the Dealer early on Monday. At least I like my dealer.

Could be worse. YOu could own a Ford and have it in the dealer 3-4 days a week for the first 6 months you own it

 

I hate to say it but that happened to my 02 Monte Carlo SS..... and it wasn't 3-4days a week it was 1 day every other day for 6 months. PITA trying to show them symptoms of my transmission after every repair a new problem came up

 

I wonder if you got my old 2002 Monte when I traded it in back in 04.

My friend brought a Mustang Cobra back in 04 and for the first 6 months, it was in service 3-4 days every week because of small things. The funny thing is that he never even once did anything to it because it was always in there. LOL

 

Um i think it was a woman who owned it by all the paper work left over from previous owner. It did have front end collision damage previous to me owning it as well.

 

Nope, not me... I wonder what happened to that 02 monte ss?? I also miss my old 04 SS S/C aswell

 

We should start a site " wheres my old car " or something equivalent to www.wheresgeorge.com except for cars of course.

 

Maybe something things are best left unknown. If I could find that 04, I just might try and buy her again... Just gotta hold off till later this year when I get my Camaro

 

Ah, sweet. Someone else planning on buying a new Camaro. I'm really on the fence between the new Camaro V8, and a C6.. This has swayed me..

Well The dealer had my car all day. They couldn't duplicate my issue. didn't hear sound coming from the left wheel. They did take the wheel off to look at the Inner CF joint as I asked them to. Apperantly everything was normal according to them. I have a feeling I'll be back for that one in the future.
They did how ever find that my AC was not staying engaged. I haven't used the AC since last summer so I didnt even know about this one. at least they found that and reprogramed the unit according to a TSB.
So the tech test drove the car then the dealership GM test drove the car.
They are really trying to please customers there. And they do. I'll give them that.

Plus they got some eye candy right in front on display black 08 z06 and a silver 06 GTO M6.
I felt like making an impulse purchase and driving off with the Goat, but my wife would kill me LOL. And the Monte is so depreciated only after a year it is sickening.
