Default Sub 2.0 60ft.

I can't find my timeslips, but I ran a 1.8 60ft. earlier this year (and that was my 1st time ever at the track). I had a post, but I can't find it. You can comfirm with Compg (he saw my post).

Track times suffer due to unfavourable weight transfer in a FWD, you can't launch this car at much past half throttle and can't get to full throttle for about two seconds, otherwise you just light up the tires and go nowhere. Anyone even run a sub 2.0 60' yet?

These cars are quick "grocery getters", not race cars.

Good to hear that it can be done. I see that Area47 posted a 1.9 on a 13.6 run. My G-tech tells me I've never been below a 2.0X, and usually 2.1X or more using all season radials on the street.

2.0-2.1 is my best on street tires. The 1.8 was on a slicks/drag radials only night at the track and they have about a barrel of VHT per lane in the 1st 60 foot hahah, you couldnt walk on it w/o peeling your shoes off.

Ive since been playing with the trac control aggressivness to act as a lauch assist, it helps considerable on the street so far with snow tires even.

Can you adj your traction control? I though that because the brakes are controlling it that its better to leave it off.

Nah the ABS has a small part of it. Yeah you can play with ETC to open the throttle as much or as little as you want for a given rpm. Also i lightened up how much timing reduction is pulled. I brake torque it, mat it, tires blow away for 1 sec then the TC hits and i have it ramping from 20-35-55-100 % throttle up through 4,000 rpm, it just keeps them sqealing slightly then by 4k it lets them go a bit harder and then hooks and goes.

I ran mine to a 13.8 @ 101 a few weeks ago with just an intake, and I still think I can do better on my 60 ft's.

Just got back earlier today with my wife's new 08 GXP GP. After a few combined miles worth of WOT I can't imagine anything under a 2.0 60ft.
This thing blows the tires off. Cool car though...

As for the 11.3 Fbody with bolt ons earlier, I'd like to see that. Maybe with massive weight reduction.

The fastest "bolt-on" record with a 6 speed is 11.4 @ 119. That's at 3300 pounds. I noticed in his mod list he said he had a hot cam, which means it's not just a bolt-on car. I still have doubts on his 11.3 without pics of a timeslip.

I ran a new PB this weekend of 12.28@120.11mph on stock 18's with a 2.00 60'.

120mph should be low 11's with traction, now to go back and prove it

I've only been to the track a couple times and the best I've managed so far is a 14.11@98.7mph. Only mod so far is intake and flipped mount.

I leave off idle. There is a thin line between not getting it to bog and blowing the tires. Anyone launching at 1500, 2000 or 2500 and getting good times on stock tires?
