Status of the impala for 09?? What is the status of the impala going to be for 09?? Just wanted to know if anybody does because my wife gave me the go ahead to get a new car in the spring of 09, she will be taking my 06 ss. I am seriously considering the pontiac g8, gotta have a 4 door for the kiddies. But I dont know what the impalas will be then. I have heard rumors of an rwd impala but when and where?? Well if anybody knows..........just wondering.
I have heard that it could be just another year of the LS4 along with the 50 year mark for this year. Also, they could jump to the new body style IE G8, but that really isnt as good of a chance for 09 as it is for 2010-2011.

The white one is the Lumina SS wherever that's sold I forget. Old pics. This is all well and good except for the fact that GM already said the zeta platform Impala has been cancelled.
? The only choice then is G8 GXP, G.P. GXP, SS

The GXP version of the G8 with the LS3 is supposed to run a 13.0 flat in the 1/4 per Pontiac. So getting in the 12's stock shouldn't be hard.
