they want over 2k for the stock nav, I can get the pioneer Avic-d3 for $699 at best buy the only thig stoping me from getting it is you have to buy the install harness $129, install $149, nav $699 plus I dont know if there is a kit that will alow me to be able to use the steering wheel controls, I will not give the sreering wheel controls up, if anyone has this unit let me know what U think of it

Yea there's a steering wheel control interface available to retain the use of your steering wheel controls. I have a D3 as well. You'll also need the thing to retain your onstar and chimes if you wish to keep those. I love my D3.

Only problem I have with an aftermarket Nav is it does not work with the heads up display. I do like that feature (for safety reasons). The other thing is having the two slots (one DVD and one CD - though some of the newer aftermarket navs have hard drive space to store the maps). Aside from that, I do think the stock one is limited and the support is kinda nil.

The Z2 is nice but also alot more than 699 if he's wishing to save some money. As far as not having an extra slot, for me personally, it's not a problem. I never listen to CD's anymore so the NAV disc is always in there I'm either always using XM or ipod.
