replacement battery size?

replacement battery size? Well, GM's finest-available-for-the-price battery took a dump on me today. Put a meter on it and I lost a cell for sure. As it is a whopping 3K miles out of warranty, am just going to go get an Optima and, from glancing at it, be swearing up a storm when I replace it tomorrow. Anyone know the case size and any tricks for swapping that bad-boy outta there?

I have the older/larger one, and it used to interfere with my a/c line until I rerouted it...they should know which one..when I got mine about 4 years ago,there was 1 size.

I searched as well, it is the 35, was mostly looking for hints at the process, I usually figure out the right way to do it about the time I finish the job. On the minus side, nobody in the known universe carries the 35. They can order it, yes sir! But to actually have a battery on the shelf? That's crazy talk!
Nobody ever has to replace a battery after it fails, they just should know it is going belly up 3 days before it does.

I will search around for one today. Problem is that I am just home for the weekend, then back to Indy for another couple months (so ordering it here would do no good). I had a load on the battery (flashing light and radio for much of the day, same as the 6 weeks before) before the cell quit on me. I am a bit too familiar with batteries for my own good. I know just about exactly what they will take before they fail and, while I could reasonably safely baby it for a week or so, it could still quit in an instant. The cell could be opening slowly or quickly, just no rhyme nor reason to it. Bottom line is that I don't trust it.
