Sum bitch runs good though! Worked on the tuneup tonight and finished it. Makes 350-360 ft lbs from 2800 to 5600, then drops to 300ft/lbs by 6500 according to delivered torque. Its so fun to drive in mid range and is really edgey.

So with 2" less tire height helping they dog **** gear ratio and the traction of the slicks, Im hoping it will run decent!
From a 70 roll he put about a 1 to 1.5 cars on me to 110. That was with the wrong length rockers in yet. My car has a lid, cutout and is tuned for nitrous so the timing is down 4*. The monte moved out then and is probably quicker now. Don't worry though, I did get back at him with a flip of the switch! LOL

Glad you got the pushrods Tom. Saturday will be fun and I will make sure Jeromy has the camera charged this time!!

6 is a DOD cylinder I think. The DOD cylinders were 1,4,6,7 correct?

pretty much exactly what I was thinking. One thing since I'd be saying screw DOD could I just use a valley cover off a ls6 motor and just not use the connection for the DOD system, disable all the DOD codes ect and call it good that way I could slap on the ls6 intake?

Im gonna post GOOD pics later. I will have some awesome launch shots.

Had it at the track today. And the results are, the cam made no gain or loss in E/T or mph. 13.201@ 105.25 with a 1.98 60'

However on the assdyno, the car is SOOO much more fun to drive and snotty feeling? Eh whatever. Oh well, had the #1 LS4 n/a times, now in 2nd.

Im still trying to figure out how to get the ****** to go almost 108 mph though!!!??

This was with the 01' LS6 Cam, GTP intake with cone filter, head light out, catless DP, stock cat back, stock rockers, 918 springs. Shift points 6500 and my tune up, home ported intake neck and TB. Keeping about 13.0 AFR and 28 degrees of timing. AIT temps were never below 95.

The one pass i made where the car sat for 3 hours and cooled, felt the best but on the launch it wanted to cook one tire, had to pedal it and went 13.6 @ 105 witha 2.2 60'

Thought you'd go quicker and bump me to #2. My timing ends up around 31 degrees according to the Diablo logger. Are you holding the car in 2nd through the traps as I'm assuming or shifting into third before? I end up crossing the 1/4 at around 6300 - 6500 rpm in 2nd. When fasterproms ported out my intake manifold, I picked up 2 mph and about 2/10ths.

After the porting i did on the intake neck and the TB, it was a noticebale improvment in part throttle performance.

Id have to try 31 degrees, seems a little high for any LSx but anything is worth a shot. I was wringing out 2nd gear just past the traps, went to like 107 i think before grabbing 3rd.

I may go back and try it again yet during the night. Im affraid of really stalling it up and lacing into it off the line, esp when it peg legs once in a while.

So basically the cam has only proven to give it mid range torque like the HPT scanner's delivered torque implys. Thank god it didnt get slower!

Its coming back out tommorow. I cant stand the valvetrain noise anymore and the 0 gain in e/t or mph was the final icing on the cake.

:< prob get some nice gains if swapped out the intake since ours seems to be a bit restrictive. Once I have the new cam in I'll see about swapping out the ls4 valley cover for something that will fit or modding the ls4 valley cover to where I can place the ls6 intake on. After intake I'll see how she does, ls6 heads are pretty damn good heads already but buying a set of CNC heads is not out of the question, will be the next mod once I get the intake work done if needed. Mind ya I'm not keeping dod so I could give a rat's *** about the valley cover, just have to plug the oil feed to the dod sending unit. I'm not exactly sure if a ls6 valley cover will fit or not though, looked like the bolt placement was dif from ls4 in pics but this is in pics, I'd need to have one in hand to see how everything matches up.

Badd, I'm thinking you're a prime candidate for my "Wackjob exhaust" thread lol I don't have a LS motor, but I do envy you guys being able to swap in all these damn parts from so many other cars/motors
