Our transmissions don't have limit slip differentials. Both wheels spin because of the balancing in the half shafts and the way the engine is mounted among other things. The traction control plays a large roll in keeping one wheel from spinning more then the other. Thats why when you disable it the diff protection kicks in and you get that surging but your right to a point. One wheel spinning more then the other will strip the splines on the diffrential. Its not for saving limited slip clutch's.
