One of the most important features of the Warhawk LS7X block is that it employs a priority main oiling system. Here, the crankshaft is lubricated first and the cylinder heads last. Essentially the opposite of factory offerings. Because of this, you can use an economical wet sump oil system with 100% confidence.

You will find that the cylinder sleeves and surrounding aluminum block material is much thicker than in stock blocks. Even with a bore of 4.125” you’ll have .100” worth of dry sleeve and .300” support.

The Warhawk is rated for 2000hp. Now putting 2000 horse to the block is risky if you ask me. It does have ductile iron sleves, but I would say 1200rwhp would be the limit I planned on running threw it.

The LS3 block has a stock sleve. The stock liners are a little weak, but it depends on if you plan to boost or spray. I would not put more than 200-250 shot of nitrous, as the heat might just warp those liners. I could see the block holding upward of 900-1000rwhp on a turbo application.

My buddy scooped the deal, sorry boys.

The stock sleve is not even ductile iron. The liners won't hold up to much abuse.
