Default Face Plated T56

I'm parting out my car and this is the latest offering.

SSI built T56. Built last spring and used very little. One night at the track and very little street miles.

It is one of their Stage 4B units plus the following,

Face Plated 1 thru 4
Cryo treated gears
Viper input.

Also comes with a Pro 5.0 and a UMI short stick.

Includes the slave and all sensors.

$2100 prefer local pickup in the Chicago area.

I'll throw in a Hurst pistol grip...

Going to be out of town for a few days so, I might be slow at responding and won't be shipping anything until Friday or Saturday.

It will fit a stock F body as long as it has been modded, (this one has). It's stronger that the normal Fbod input shaft. The Viper shaft is harder and longer than the others. It has to have about 3/4 of an inch cut off and machined to fit.

Hope this helps...

that does help, thanks, now im more interested in your trans, how streetable is a face plated trans? are the gear ratios different in this trans? i noticed you prefer local pickup, and im definately not local, so i still would greatly appreciate the info even if you cant sell/ship me yours...

It is streetable although, not street friendly. I would not daily drive a face plated trans. Downshifting is a pita. There are no synchros in this trans. Except for 5th and 6th. Ratios are same as stock.

i really appreciate the info and vid, but it doesnt look like a face plated trans would be good for me since i want to cruise my car occasionally as well as tear it up on the strip

Cruising occasionally is okay. If you want to tear it up, the fastest 6 speed cars on this sight use face plated trannys

It's Redline Superlite Shock Proof gear oil. 10 bucks a quart, hard on syncros but great for the face plated stuff.

I have 4 quarts that I could throw in for the lucky buyer

This is a $4k tranny. If I don't get my asking price, I'll just keep it for my next build.

Stage 4 Build - $2250, Cryo Treating - $350, Viper input - $250,
Faceplating - $700, Pro 5.0 - $189, Hurst Pistol Grip - $89.

You're right, only comes out to $3828. It does come with all the sensors though.

My initial response was done on my phone, didn't feel like going into too much detail.

Point I was trying to make is that I think this if a very fair deal. I don't need to sell it, just trying to make room in the garage.
