Default 2008 LQ4 Engine for sale,

As the title states, 2008 GM LQ4 engine assembly, less than 2 hours run time, complete valley cover, valve covers, through oil pan. 317 heads with all parts are included. Engine was installed in new boat, electrical short sparked a fire. Intake and fuel system was not salvaged. Inspected for internal damage; will need .010+ pistons and reassembly with new bearings. Winter Haven, FL $600+ truck freight takes it all!

Correct 6.0 liter iron, only parts not part of assembly are the intake, throttle body and the fuel rails, they could not be salvaged. WInter Haven is in central Florida, sixty miles east of Tampa.

Do you have any pics of the damage? How hot did it get, any damage to the parts?

Is the marine version of this motor the same as the truck version?

It got hot enough to melt the intake and injectors. The paint process that is used for marine applications was not burned either on the valve covers or the exhaust manifolds. Heat was confined to the intake area, as well as the V-drive, no fire damage on the engine as it sits. I found water in the cylinders when I did a cursory inspection for salvage. A set of .010+ forged pistons would fix it right up. Yes, identical to the LQ4 truck, 2008 was the last year we installed them. They do have the dimpled PM connecting rods for increased durability. We now use the LY6 VVT 6.0 liter.
