Low comp 408 shortblock CHEAP!
Low comp 408 shortblock CHEAP! UPDATED! As the title states, I've got a low mileage, low compression 408 shortblock for sale. As of right now, everything is disassembled. I had it in my car for about 7000 miles and never had any problems out of it. The only reason I am selling it is to turn the car back stock and free up some money. With a D1SC on 10 psi, patriot 6.0l heads, a custom grind blower cam, and FMIC the car made 660whp running out of fuel at 5800rpms in 90 degree heat. This is the perfect bottom end for someone looking to make big power with a turbo or S/C. The CR is around 8.9:1 with 72cc chambers. Below is a list of the parts:
-Eagle 4" Crank $650 + shipping
-Callies compstar rods w/ARP rod bolts $350 + shipping
-Custom dished diamond pistons(~22cc dish, these are not an off the shelf piston. They were made specifically for this setup.) $500 + shipping
-6.0L Iron block bored to 4.030" $350 + shipping
-ARP head studs $150 + shipping
All this setup needs is a fresh set of rings, bearings, and to be put back together. No machine work is neccessary. All of the cylinder walls look good along with the piston skirts. All of the bearings looked good as well.
The asking price is $2300 shipped or $2000 picked up. I am not interested in parting it out at this time unless I have buyers for all parts. It would cost almost double the amount Im asking after you buy all the parts and pay for machine work. If anyone local to Mooresville, NC would like to see the parts, they are at Tick Performance. The only trades that I would be interested in would be chrome zr1's or z06's with tires + cash.

I'd rather not ship the shortblock just yet. I've had some local interest but no cash yet. Depending on where you're located, I would be willing to drive a little ways to meet. Not going to part anything out as of now.
