I'm not trying to flame....but, your picture isn't of a WS-6 ram air box. If it was, it would have 'Ram Air' on the factory sticker of the lid and the lower airbox, would have a higher gap in it. If you look at the port on the front where the air enters, you can see the line of where it looks like two pieces of plastic were melted together from the factory....in the WS-6 one, that is the cut line all the way up to where the metal retainers are located. Just FYI....because, I was looking for one for the longest time.

no man i apreciate your info. I never had a stock air box car so im not to familiar with them. This one came off a wrecked car that i swear was a ram air car but i must be wrong. thanks

 

Allot of WS-9s put on the Ram Air hood and never changed to the WS-6 air box. I am one of them. That is probably what you ran into.
